It is easy to travel from Turku to destinations all over Finland. From the main railway station there is a train almost every hour to Helsinki and Tampere, while the long-distance bus services to Pori and Rauma are also convenient.

Turku borders on the sea in the south and west, making it a gateway to destinations outside Finland – there are daily cargo as well as passenger services from the Port of Turku to Mariehamn and well as Stockholm. Turku also has a busy airport that hosts domestic as well as international flights.
