Effortlessly into your new home
Some available SATOhomes can be rented directly through the webshop without an application.
Your new home could be just a few clicks away! In SATO’s webshop, you can rent a home whenever it suits you best – easily and flexibly. All you need are your online banking credentials for identification and paying the reservation fee. and as usual, there’s no security deposit required in the online store. The security deposit is, as usual, 0 euros.
Enter into the agreement by paying the reservation fee
You can find apartments available in our webshop by using the advanced search and the filter "Available to rent through the webshop". On the apartment page, these apartments have a "Rent" button below the apartment details and at the bottom of the page.
When you find a home you like, you can enter into a lease agreement either on your own or together with another person. Once the parties have accepted the agreement and its general terms in the webshop and paid the reservation fee of 300 euros via their online bank.
The reservation fee will be fully refunded after the lease agreement begins. The refund will be made to the same bank account used for the initial payment. Please note that the reservation fee should not be deducted from the rent.
Visit your new home
You can visit your new home before moving in by booking an apartment showing while completing the rental process online. We aim to arrange the showing at your preferred time within three business days of the lease confirmation. We will confirm the exact time by email, and you will also receive a reminder by text message.
Please note that the showing must be booked while completing the rental process online – it cannot be arranged afterwards.
Satisfaction guarantee for your peace of mind
We want to ensure that you're happy with your new home and that it meets your needs. That’s why we offer a satisfaction guarantee for lease agreements made through the webshop: you can cancel your agreement during the apartment showing if the home doesn’t meet your expectations.
You must attend the apartment showing in person, as only the person who entered into the lease can cancel the agreement. If you entered into the lease with another person, it is sufficient for one of you to attend the showing and cancel the agreement, if desired.
If you cancel your agreement, we’ll refund the reservation fee in full to your bank account as soon as possible, usually the next working day. No additional fees will be charged for the refund.
Please note! If you choose not to visit the apartment in person, you give up the satisfaction guarantee and your right to cancel the agreement. In this case, you can only terminate the lease by following the notice period and terms of the agreement.
Pick up the keys and move in
You can pick up the keys to your new home on the first day your lease agreement is valid. If that day falls on a weekend or public holiday, you will get the keys on the following working day.
Frequently asked
You can rent a SATOhome through the webshop if:
- you are at least 18 years old
- you have a Finnish personal identity code
- you have a municipality of residence in Finland
- you do not have an active lease agreement with SATO
- you have no records of payment defaults or other entries in you credit history
- there are no issues, such as residency or payment disturbances, associated with any previous SATO tenancy
- you verify your identity with online banking credentials or a mobile certificate
- you pay the reservation fee immediately.
We will check your credit data history from the database of Suomen Asiakastieto Oy. If you are renting a home together with someone else, both of you will see the results of the credit history checks.
If you can’t or don’t want to rent a home through the webshop, you can submit a regular housing application.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to visit the apartment before entering into the lease agreement in the webshop. However, thanks to the satisfaction guarantee, you can cancel the lease agreement made in the webshop during the apartment showing if the home doesn’t meet your expectations. If you prefer to see the apartment before signing the agreement, you can apply for the home through the standard housing application.
We will refund the reservation fee in full as soon as possible after the start date of the lease or cancellation, usually by the next business day. The refund will be made to the same bank account used for the initial payment.
Unfortunately, you cannot rent a new home from the webshop if you already have an active lease agreement with SATO. However, you can apply for a new home through a standard application.
