Report a leaky toilet and get movie tickets
2 October 2019
When was the last time you checked the condition of the toilet and taps in your home? Did you know that even the slightest toilet tank leak wastes litres upon litres of water and may cost up to a thousand euro a year?
We encourage all our residents to make sure that they have no leaky toilets or taps. If you discover a leak, please file a defect report at once. Everyone who reports a leaky water fitting will receive two Finnkino movie tickets as a reward.
__How to proceed: __
- Check the toilet and the taps in your home. If you detect a leak in the toilet, or the tap is dripping, file a defect report in OmaSATO. Use the heading #savingwater in the defect report.
- We will visit your apartment to inspect and when necessary, to repair the reported water fittings.
- You will be emailed two Finnkino movie tickets no later than 30 days after filing the defect report.
You can also file the defect report on our website (in Finnish).
Please note that we will send the movie tickets to your email, so make sure that we have your up-to-date email address.
How can I tell if I have a leaky toilet?
If the leak is only a small one, you may not necessarily even notice it right away. You can make sure with a simple test when the toilet is not used for two–three hours. Attach a piece of toilet paper close to the upper rim at the rear of the toilet bowl, to where the flushing water enters the bowl. If the paper stays dry, you have no leak. If the paper starts to get wet, file the defect report and we will come over to inspect the toilet.
The campaign is running from 3rd Octorber to 31st December 2019.
